The address would be 3555 NW 36th St. Allapattah ?

No it would have to be south of NW 36th Street. It has to be on an Avenue and it has to be on the east side of the Avenue. It is highly likely that the right side of the gym as viewed from the front runs along NW 35th Street since a street is seen in the bg out the door on the right side and we see a parking meter so it would not be an alley.

Jeremy' date=' look at the building with the red arrow. Could this be it?[/quote']And today that looks like a parking lot in in that location but the location does fit with "just off 36th street." The larger building next door has similar windows to the screen cap as well. Strange that the youtube comment about being a garage was from last month only though.

I used Google Earth archive tool and it shows a building in that parking lot up until 2007. I agree, strange comment by the youtube poster.

It is a nice try but I would have to say no, not it. While the building itself fits the requirements from above there are too many things in the surroundings that do not. This is why I say it is not a match: 1) no parking meters in alley. 2) No two story building to the south across alley next to library.3) I cannot see a wall where the vacant lot is and there definitely is not one north of that along avenue directly opposte the front of the gym.4) Building on north side has windows on two different floors and we need one with windows on just the top floor. But I think we are getting close.

Then again I am taking another look at it. The curb out front of the gym location is correct, and maybe the library matches up with it's second level of windows. Taking another look now.

I think now that it is likely the spot:thumbsup::clap: I had found a gym, the miami fight club listed at 3555 NW 18th Avenue when I first started searching but GE shows this address as the high rise to the south. I should have known better. what are the odds of two boxing yms at the number 3555 on any street in Miami? Strangely the State of Florida does not have any business license or incorporation papers for a business named Bravo boxing gymnasium academy in any order of those words. I believe the curb is right, the parking meter may be across the alley in the parking lot and just looks closer due to the zoom of the camera. The library matches up perfectly after further examination. As for the wall across the street it may have been shorter than it looks on tv and most of it could be going away from us but it is hard to tell on the screen. That would mean that most of the wall is still there painted grey instead of white. The part that was grey has now been torn down since the building was built on the empty lot. The only part I cannot explain is the incorrect windows on the building to the north. I rate it as 99% sure that this is the right place.

I might have the necessity to see some sunshine later this year so if I do go to Miami then I'll definitely visit Sunny Isles. Until then I'll be using maps from bing & google when we get our next case.

I am reading The Making of Miami Vice, published in 1986, great book with a lot of insights, and discovered that Maria Chavez was the primary location manager. Charlie mentioned contacting a location manager, was this the same lady? If not has anyone tried to contact her? She was pretty young in 1986.

Maria Chavez was also the location manager for The Specialist, Fair Game, Wild Things, Bad Boys II and MV Movie 2006. She had a small role in "Cool Runnin'" as Teresa.
